Housing & Health Support
OAC/VAC assisted over 1,500 residents with affordable housing needs, including Section 8 applications, waitlist sign-ups, and support in finding reasonably priced apartments across San José and Santa Clara County. We also guided hundreds of families through Medi-Cal renewals, compliance, and one-on-one navigation, helping many maintain essential health coverage during a critical transition year..
Senior Engagement & Community Outreach
Our team visited 20 senior housing communities, bringing joy and human connection to older adults through free haircuts, karaoke, birthday gatherings, shared meals, dancing activities, and wellness check-ins. These programs helped reduce isolation and strengthened emotional well-being for seniors across the county. OAC/VAC also continued hosting community events such as parades, cultural celebrations, and holiday gatherings that brought families together.
Youth Development & Education
OAC/VAC awarded 11 scholarships to outstanding youth volunteers and continued to invest in young leaders through parade participation, Mid-Autumn and Christmas activities, and community service projects. We taught 14 Vietnamese History sessions at local high schools, promoting cultural pride and identity for the next generation. Beyond local efforts, our volunteers delivered six laptops and technology training to students in A Lưới – Huế, expanding our educational impact internationally.
